From BBC News to Cubase, via award-winning speech software, the team behind Eloqute have helped create the digital world. CEO, Matthew Karas has been delivering digital products on a global scale since the mid-90s, and more recently led the creation of OU-funded MOOC, FutureLearn. He met Josh Greifer in the 2000s, while they were both working on a cardiac diagnostic system. In 2014, they realised that real-time signal processing on mobile devices had potential beyond anything imagined at the time, and started three years of self-funded R&D.
The result is not only a set of algorithms for analysing pronunciation, but a platform which can compile parallel complex processes, including self-learning neural nets, into an lean, optimised, adaptive system, which can run on any operating system on any device.
